Job Summary
Order, prepare, cook, and serve food to members, including seasoning meat, fish, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts. Utilize institutional kitchen equipment like steam tables and stoves while adhering to nutritional principles for regular and therapeutic diets. Requires two years of food production experience, high school graduation or G.E.D., and current CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification. Full-time AM/PM shifts with varying days; starting wage $23.00 plus geographic differentials. Includes PTO, paid holidays, shift differentials, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in food production and knowledge of therapeutic diets
- High School graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
- Experience in the use of institutional kitchen equipment such as steam tables, stoves, refrigerators and freezers
- Knowledge of nutritional principles in the preparation of regular and therapeutic diets
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
- Successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination
- Acceptable results of the 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis
- Acceptable criminal background clearances
- Excluded party sanctions clearance
- Degree or license verification
- Valid driver's license (if position requires driving)
- Motor vehicle clearance (if position requires driving)
- Proof of auto insurance (if position requires driving)
