Job Summary
Maintain a professional security presence throughout campus by conducting routine foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and grounds. Monitor access points to assist with visitor procedures while observing and reporting any suspicious activity or safety concerns. Document daily activity and incidents using Belfry software and enforce campus policies and post orders. Respond appropriately to routine security incidents and communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, staff, students, and visitors. This full-time 2nd shift role (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) requires weekends and includes training for candidates with no prior experience.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Security, military, or law enforcement background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to walk long distances and remain on foot for extended periods
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Weekends Required
- Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Campus security assignment
- Completion of in-person orientation required
