Job Summary
Perform daily rounds to collect soiled medical equipment from hospital departments and clean and disinfect items according to manufacturer Instructions for Use and facility infection prevention guidelines. Tag and return clean equipment to designated areas, partner with clinical staff to ensure availability and appropriate par levels, and respond to equipment requests in a timely manner. Follow all safety, infection control, and PPE requirements while maintaining organized work areas. This role supports infection prevention programs and helps healthcare teams operate efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass background check
- Must pass a drug screen/ TB test
- Immunization records required
- Flu and COVID vaccination required
- No artificial or gel nails are permitted per infection control policy
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual work habits
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to push/pull equipment carts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
