Job Summary
Full Stack Web Developer to design, build, and maintain Perrin Sportswear’s web properties using PHP and JavaScript. Responsibilities include designing and testing web layouts, collaborating with the development team to design solutions and secure integrations with external systems, converting business goals into reliable web properties, maintaining web content, coding layouts and components, and assisting with React-based application development when necessary. The role is 100% on-site in Comstock Park, MI, and requires experience with PHP, React, WordPress/October CMS, MySQL, Node.js, front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+, Redux), and a focus on responsive design and clean, secure code. Familiarity with WordPress/October and web accessibility is a plus, with strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive (minimum of 4 years) experience utilizing PHP programming language
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred but a combination of relevant experience and education may substitute for a degree
- Experience using React
- Experience using MySQL and Node.js
- Extensive (minimum of 3 years) professional experience in full stack development
- Experience with front-end languages, including HTML5, CSS3 (+sass), and JS (ES6+, sveltejs, React, Redux)
- Experience soliciting feedback and ideas and moving forward with implementation
- Comfortable with critique and co-authorship
- Ability to multitask and flexibility for evolving project requirements
- Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Experience with a content management system such as WordPress or October is a plus
- Experience with back-end languages including PHP
- Passionate about collecting design references, creating mockups, and addressing customer feedback
- Experience with developing and maintaining Electron applications
- Understanding of web accessibility standards
