Job Summary
Hands-on Full Stack Tech Lead role leading day-to-day web development across Next.js/React and Postgres, mentoring and reviewing the work of developers, translating product priorities into clear technical tasks, and serving as the main liaison between the web development team and the founders/CTO. You will build frontend features, backend APIs, and database logic, guide sprint planning and task breakdown, improve testing, CI/CD, deployment, and engineering practices, and ensure reliable, scalable software used by thousands of riders, resorts, operators, and internal teams. This is a long-term contractor arrangement in Portugal with ESOP/equity potential for the right candidate, requiring legal authorization to work in Portugal and a hybrid work setup in Lisbon.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Developer, or similar hands-on leadership role
- Strong experience with React.js / Next.js
- Strong experience with Node.js
- Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Based in Portugal or already legally authorized to work and invoice in Portugal
- Available for a hybrid role in Lisbon
