Job Summary
Full Stack Software Engineer for PwC Enterprise Data Platform focusing on design and development of robust Java backend services and RESTful APIs. Build scalable backends with Java (Spring Boot) hosted on Azure, integrate with relational databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL), and expose APIs for frontend and external integrations. Contribute to tests (unit/integration/E2E), documentation, and code reviews; collaborate with Business Analysts, UX Designers, and Architecture teams; participate in Agile ceremonies; potentially contribute to frontend with React/TypeScript when needed; explore Azure AI capabilities to enhance applications; ensure solutions align with technical standards and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Higher education degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related field
- At least 4 years of hands-on Java backend development
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
- Relational databases proficiency (Azure SQL and PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Azure cloud services
- GitHub and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD
- Ability to work independently in agile teams
- English fluency; German a plus
- Desirable: React and TypeScript frontend experience; event-driven architecture (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs/Service Bus); serverless (Azure Functions)
