Job Summary
Develop and maintain web applications using React and Next.js to create seamless, high-performance user interfaces for Oura's Commerce systems. Build and optimize server-side functionality with Node.js to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient handling of e-commerce transactions. Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and integrate third-party APIs for payment processing and inventory management. Optimize application performance, including page load times, responsiveness, and SEO best practices, while debugging issues across the stack to ensure high availability. Document technical designs and stay up to date with emerging web technologies to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in web development or software engineering
- Experience with front-end javascript web frameworks like Angular, React or equivalent
- Proficiency in Node.js for building scalable server-side applications
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with ES6+ features
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API integration
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications (e.g., lazy loading, caching, and image optimization)
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive experience in React and Next.js, with a deep understanding of their ecosystems
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or building custom e-commerce systems
- Knowledge of SEO principles and server-side rendering (SSR)
- Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API design patterns
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive web design principles
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
