Job Summary
Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify technical requirements and translate user stories into scalable .NET server-side services using ASP.NET MVC. Build responsive front-end applications, optimize SQL Server performance, and ensure solutions are secure and deployable via Azure cloud environments. Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement while supporting modernization efforts within Agile teams using DevOps practices. Requires 5–10 years of .NET experience, strong C# proficiency, and familiarity with Docker and containerized development. Contract hire starting August 3, 2026, in Sugar Land, TX, with a rate of $65–75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience with .NET and Azure technologies
- Strong experience developing applications using ASP.NET MVC and .NET
- Advanced proficiency in C# programming
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and modern front-end development practices
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Familiarity with Azure development and cloud-based application deployment
- Experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications
- Strong understanding of Git and collaborative source control workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience with .NET and Azure technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Angular or other modern front-end frameworks
- Exposure to Docker and containerized development environments
- Experience using Node.js and front-end build tools such as Gulp
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and .NET SDK v8.0
- Experience with database management tools such as DBeaver
- Knowledge of Power BI and reporting/analytics solutions
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and support modernization initiatives
