Job Summary
Design, build, and refine custom developer tooling from the ground up, providing insights beyond standard dashboards. Revamp existing tools for integration into developer workflows and drive new technical solutions from system design to deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack to ensure high reliability. Work with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather insights and define solutions that shape product decisions. Operate in a cross-functional environment collaborating with colleagues from diverse technical domains. This role focuses on revamping the suite of developer productivity tools within the Ecosystem and Operational Insights team to accelerate the software developer lifecycle at Netflix.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a software development role
- Demonstrable technical expertise to critically evaluate front-end architectures and user experience flows, form well-reasoned recommendations for the best path forward, and navigate ambiguity by iteratively refining solutions based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements
- Strong full-stack development skills with an emphasis in front-end UI work focused on building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality developer tools
- Experience with at least several UI frameworks
- Deep experience with React & GraphQL
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and experience with Java and Node.js
- Ability to learn and leverage in-house software frameworks/components/services to build scalable solutions
- Outstanding communicators who are curious, flexible, and selfless
