Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks while collaborating with frontend engineers to integrate React.js solutions. Write clean, well-tested code that adheres to modern best practices, implement CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment, and optimize system performance by troubleshooting production issues. Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and QA to ship high-quality features, contribute to architectural decisions, and refactor legacy systems as needed. This role supports products within FinTech, Healthcare Technology, or SaaS ecosystems in a remote-first environment with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Express, and API development
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub)
Desired Qualifications
- Frontend development experience with React.js, Next.js, or similar
- Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in micro services architecture
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and TDD
- Prior experience in FinTech, Healthcare, or SaaS is a plus
