Job Summary
Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs supporting KYC verification, identity authentication, and compliance workflows. Lead architecture for high-performance distributed systems processing millions of global user requests while building risk assessment pipelines and case management systems. Develop internal tooling with React and TypeScript, focusing on backend engineering, and integrate RESTful microservices with third-party KYC/AML vendors. Contribute to technical design decisions emphasizing backend, data processing, AI integration, and security, then write clean, well-tested code and conduct thorough code reviews. Continuously optimize system performance, scalability, and developer experience through automation. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of backend experience with Java, Go, or similar, plus AI/ML integration skills; bilingual English/Mandarin is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus
- Solid backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot), Go, or similar backend technologies
- Experience integrating AI/ML models or LLM-powered tools into production systems — including model serving, inference pipelines, or AI-assisted automation workflows
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices at scale
- Strong understanding of relational databases, caching technologies, message queues and distributed system fundamentals
- Bilingual English/Mandarin
