Job Summary
Take end-to-end ownership of product development, shaping ideas through building, testing, and measuring performance in production. Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and embedded components across frontend, backend, and full-stack, focusing on the self-serve integration experience including Connect activation, payment API exposure, and multi-sub-merchant support. Build and contribute to large-scale systems handling high transaction volumes by thinking in system design terms rather than adjusting existing patterns. Weigh product trade-offs and make decisions about feature exposure, working closely with Product Managers to define the self-serve track while challenging ideas and bringing your own opinions. Manage context across multiple interacting systems in a fast-paced environment where work is sometimes vague and shifts frequently.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- genuine full-stack range
- comfortable owning a feature end-to-end across both frontend and backend
- Strong frontend engineering skills including React, React Native and TypeScript
- real backend capability
- ability to design and reason about more complex backend systems
- Experience building embedded components for platform or infrastructure use cases
- comfort working across multiple interacting systems in a fast-paced, broad-scope environment
- ability to weigh options and trade-offs to solve a problem
