Full-Stack Engineer (Identity & Security Engineer)

Job Summary
Identity & Security Engineer responsible for designing and implementing the identity, access, and security foundation of a Human-Led AI Orchestration Layer. Implement authentication using Clerk across frontend and backend, design RBAC and permission models, manage secure session handling and token lifecycles, and ensure consistent authorization across APIs, services, agents, tools, and data. Integrate identity flows with a FastAPI backend and React + TypeScript frontend, enforce OAuth2/JWT/CORS/CSRF practices, and harden APIs for multi-tenant SaaS use cases. Design identity models for AI agents and automated workflows, define capability-based permission scopes, implement human-in-the-loop approval gates, prevent privilege escalation and cross-tenant access, and design sandboxing strategies. Also involved in documenting identity architecture and knowledge transfer. Requirements include hands-on authentication/authorization implementation, Clerk experience, OAuth2/JWT/session management expertise, FastAPI backend experience, React + TypeScript frontend experience, strong security fundamentals, and Git. Preferred qualifications include Azure deployments, Infrastructure-as-Code, and RBAC in multi-tenant SaaS.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing authentication and authorization in web applications
- Strong experience with Clerk (or equivalent identity providers)
- Deep understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and session management
- Experience with FastAPI (Python) backend systems
- Frontend integration experience with React + TypeScript
- Strong security fundamentals and threat-model awareness
- Proficiency with Git and remote collaboration
