Job Summary
Design, develop, and deploy modular microservices and cloud-native applications using Java, React, HTML, and Python. Troubleshoot software quality, security, performance, and reliability issues while participating in peer code reviews and software quality assurance activities. Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests, ensuring software adheres to secure coding best practices and follows Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and document software code, technical designs, and training guides. Leverage virtualization and containerization technologies to optimize systems and mentor junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field OR Bachelor's degree in a non-IT field with two (2) years of related IT experience
- 3+ years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
- 3+ years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages, including Java and Python
- Demonstrated experience developing full stack applications using Java, React, HTML, and Python
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Travis CI
- Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks, including unit testing
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- 3+ years of application development experience in an Agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
