Job Summary
Produce well designed and testable code using industry best practices while leading planning, forecasting, and execution for new project deliverables. Ensure software system quality and availability through monitoring and alerting best practices. Mentoring junior engineers and cross-collaborating with stakeholders to align team objectives for content creation and optimization tools. This role impacts the shopping experience across Nordstrom's web and mobile platforms by delivering compelling features from studio onboarding to customer-facing apps. The position requires AEM, NodeJS, and TypeScript skills with hands-on AWS experience.
Required Qualifications
- AEM Skills
- Strong NodeJS skills
- 5+ years of web development experience using front-end frameworks (Node.JS, AngularJS, React)
- Experience with Java, Kubernetes, PHP
- 5+ years experience building and deploying software systems in cloud-based technologies (AWS - EC2, S3, Lambda, Redis, Elasticsearch)
- Mastery in front-end coding technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
- Mastery in front-end frameworks (NodeJS, React)
- Experience with search engine and analytic technologies (Elasticsearch)
- Experience with designing and building APIs
- Demonstrable experience owning and operating business critical system servicing internal and external customers
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or comparable experience
Desired Qualifications
- TypeScript - Familiarity (Nice to have)
- Strong Debug skills
- AWS knowledge
- Hands on AWS (EC2, redis, dynamodb)
- Angular JS knowledge
