Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications supporting Greene Education's business operations while administering and monitoring cloud-hosted Linux servers. Maintain platform security, availability, and uptime by diagnosing technical issues across the full technology stack, from server infrastructure to browser-based applications. Manage relational databases, optimize performance, integrate third-party platforms, and proactively identify opportunities to improve system reliability. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational needs into effective technical solutions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong full-stack web development and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues across servers, databases, applications, and browsers
- Strong understanding of web security, system performance, and application reliability
- Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to identifying and resolving root causes
- 3+ years of full-stack web development experience
- Proficiency with a modern PHP framework
- Experience administering Linux servers
- Solid understanding of web application and server security best practices
- Experience with relational database design, management, and optimization
- Frontend development experience using JavaScript and CSS frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage responsibilities in a remote work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Laravel preferred
- Experience with document generation and/or electronic signature workflows
- Experience administering or developing solutions within cloud-hosting environments, preferably AWS
- Previous experience working within or supporting the education sector
- Experience supporting technology platforms used by multiple departments or end users
- Experience: 3+ years preferred
