Job Summary
Design and develop software by writing original code, updating existing systems, and integrating components with third-party programs. Verify and deploy programs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth functionality across various platforms including mobile systems. Work directly with US Army mission partners to develop Warfighter solutions, gather user feedback, and prepare epics based on needs. Create technical documentation and recommend improvements while maintaining adherence to federal IT standards and Agile methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Active SECRET clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
- Must meet DoD 8570.01 certification requirements for Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II
- Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
- Previous government technology experience
- Demonstrated experience DEPLOYING software with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Demonstrated Cloud experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining APIs on AWS infrastructure
- Ability to show proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, .NET Core, C#, Java, or Python
- Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies
- Experience using GitLab as a version control system
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree
- Knowledge of the Army software development process and its technologies
- Experience working in a consultant/client environment
- Familiarity with federal IT standards and policies such as FISMA, NIST, and the RMF process
