Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and deploy new features across ReactJS front-end and Python/FastAPI back-end layers while building RESTful APIs with proper validation and OpenAPI documentation. Implement PostgreSQL data models, manage migrations, and operate within CBO's trunk-based development workflow with short-lived branches and feature flags. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives, then package applications with Docker for deployment to AWS. Investigate defects, resolve performance issues, and write automated unit and integration tests to reduce technical debt. Maintain technical documentation including API docs and architecture decision records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional full stack software development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on AWS
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Position requires a Public Trust Tier 2 clearance
- Selected candidate must obtain favorable FBI criminal history and fingerprint checks conducted through the U.S. Capitol Police prior to starting work
- Selected candidate must pass a background check to access the CBO network
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment
- All employees are subject to random drug screens throughout the term of employment
