Job Summary
Physiotherapist provides outpatient rehabilitation services in-home settings for older adults, delivering, evaluating, and adjusting physical therapy programs to restore function and promote independence. Responsibilities include developing and delivering therapy plans, consulting with rehabilitation team members, educating patients and caregivers, supervising PT Assistants as needed, ensuring safe environments, and maintaining timely clinical and billing documentation. Core techniques cover therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, manual therapy, functional training, and use of modalities as appropriate. The role emphasizes home-based and outpatient care across settings (patient homes and independent living facilities) with a flexible schedule, and requires coordination with the care team to meet individual patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Master’s degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
