Job Summary
Assess, plan, and organize rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, and decrease deformity in patients with disease or injury. Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies. Implement physical therapy treatments, provide ongoing patient and family education, and offer discharge instructions and community resource referrals. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and required forms per departmental guidelines. Maintain punctuality, adhere to dress codes and infection prevention precautions, and participate in staff meetings and process improvement activities. Utilize equipment safely and cost-effectively while supporting new employee orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Effective communication skills
- Customer service focused
- Team oriented
- Basic computer skills
- Compliance with all applicable regulatory standards
- Maintains attendance/punctuality in accordance with system policy and procedure
- Adheres to departmental dress code policy, including wearing and displaying ID badge appropriately
- Observes infection prevention precautions
- Completes all mandatory hospital and/or system mandatory requirements
