Job Summary
PT provides direct rehab care to patients upon physician referral in a post-acute care facility, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve functional progress and improved quality of life. Responsibilities include following established treatment plans, overseeing care provided by PTAs and rehab staff, implementing program goals and policies, utilizing therapy software, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Requires graduation from an accredited program (BSPT/MSPT/DPT) and English fluency; new grads welcome. Life Care Centers of America facilities operate as SNFs offering long-term and short-term rehabilitation services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT)
- New grads welcome to apply
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Follow and implement department goals, policies, and procedures
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Experience supervising PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT/PTA students (as applicable)
