Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate resident assessments, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and provide physical therapy services including assessment, treatment, program planning, implementation, and documentation. Conduct screenings at regular intervals to determine intervention needs and evaluate residents for treatment data. Initiate referrals when appropriate under physicians' orders. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, National Certification Examination completion, and 0-3 years of long-term care experience. Full-time or part-time roles available at Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Inverness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Successful completion of National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapist
- 0-3 years of long-term care experience
- Ability to oversee and coordinate resident assessments
- Ability to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Ability to provide and direct Physical Therapy services to residents
- Ability to initiate referrals when appropriate
- Ability to conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals
- Ability to evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning
- Ability to communicate with physicians
- Ability to function under physicians' orders
- Ability to pass background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
