Job Summary
Develop training materials and programs for dining and student staff on reducing food waste, optimizing recovery capacity, and maximizing diversion through best practices in procurement, meal planning, and event service. Collaborate with University Dining, Facilities, and the Campus Kitchen to facilitate interdepartmental policies, track data, and analyze results for continuous improvement. Participate in operational rotations to troubleshoot real-time issues, aggregate data from dining and waste programs, and present findings to the Full Circle Food Working Group. Spearhead the adoption of the Food Free Alert app and coordinate the Waste Minimization Team Leader initiative while preparing quarterly grant reports.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and ability to connect with a wide range of audiences, including both student and staff constituencies
- Candidates should be well versed in the social and environmental impacts of food waste and informed and passionate about waste reduction and landfill diversion
- Demonstrated ability in data collection, analysis, and reporting/visualization
- Exceptional organization skills
- B.A. plus minimum one-year relevant professional experience or relevant equivalent experience
