Job Summary
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage A/P, A/R, payroll with PayChex, monthly reconciliations, year-end close, and related accounting duties for a Massachusetts landscaping company. Core duties include posting and verifying financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, generating financial reports, reconciling bank and subsidiary accounts, coordinating with an outside payroll/Vendor PayChex, managing insurance records, and supporting day-to-day office operations. Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, 5+ years of QuickBooks Online experience, strong organizational and confidentiality skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
- Full mastery of QuickBooks Online with a minimum of 5 years RECENT experience
- Proven administrative track record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Perform Year End functions for closing out the year and prepare items for accountant
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize daily work flow and meet various seasonal deadlines
- Positive interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal team members and external clients
- Maintain confidentiality of all company financial information and resources
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Public Notary Preferred or ability to obtain in 90 days
