Job Summary
Bookkeeper responsible for reconciling bank statements and credit card statements, handling accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining multiple client General Ledgers with periodic reconciliations, month-end/year-end closing and adjusting entries, preparing internal management-use financial statements, maintaining an orderly filing system and chart of accounts, preparing various tax-related reports, assisting with payroll processing and EFTPS payments, assisting clients with annual budgeting, and performing variance analysis and government reporting for startups and small-to-medium sized companies. Requires QuickBooks or similar software proficiency and strong Excel/Word skills, with on-site work in Chattanooga, TN.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year Bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Teachability and willingness to learn new systems and software
