Full Charge Bookkeeper

The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing all accounting functions across multiple divisions (nursery retail, landscape construction, design services, and maintenance). Key duties include maintaining the general ledger, full-cycle AP/AR, invoicing and collections, bank reconciliations, monthly/quarterly/year-end financial statements, budgeting/forecasting/c cash flow management, coordinating with external CPAs for tax/year-end reporting, maintaining fixed asset schedules and depreciation, and processing payroll (weekly/bi-weekly) with compliance to payroll regulations. Additional responsibilities cover HR-related recordkeeping, job costing and profitability analysis for landscape projects, vendor and inventory management, and preparing monthly management reports and financial dashboards while ensuring internal controls and supporting audits. The candidate should be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing processes independently while providing timely financial insights to leadership. Compensation is $60,000–$80,000 annually, located in Johns Island, SC, with in-person remote options.
