Job Summary
Own the end-to-end financial operations of the business, combining daily bookkeeping with monthly close, reporting, and financial oversight. Maintain accurate books across all entities by recording and categorizing transactions in QuickBooks, reconciling bank and credit card accounts monthly, and ensuring a clean chart of accounts. Process vendor bills, monitor receivables, and oversee payroll while managing tax filings and compliance reporting. Complete the monthly close by the 10th, prepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports, and proactively explain variances. Support budgeting, forecasting, and lender documentation while flagging risks and inefficiencies before they become problems. Work independently in a focused environment with full-time hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Experience owning full-charge bookkeeping/accounting for a small business
- Strong QuickBooks proficiency
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (not just data entry)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Comfortable communicating financial information
