Job Summary
Conduct daily shift change meetings for labor and capacity planning, monitor workload demands, and analyze customer KPIs to maintain service levels. Lead tactical continuous improvement teams using Lean methodologies to drive waste reduction and develop plans addressing top business needs. Maintain the safest work environment through facility inspections and safety program engagement, while training shift supervisors and conducting new hire orientations. Review labor reports daily to forecast and schedule staffing flexibly with customer requirements. Provide regular data reports measuring progress against objectives and collaborate with third-party contractors under a unified team goal.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the warehousing industry
- High school education
- Work on-site in a warehouse environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods within an office environment
- Ability to walk the production and warehouse floor
- Ability to stand long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding and answer phone calls
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills
- Strong understanding of warehouse management operating systems (WMS/LMS)
- Detail-oriented
- Candidate needs to have a good working knowledge of LEAN principles
- Ability to demonstrate logical thought processes in problem-solving
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to work and contribute to a team environment
- Will be 'on-call' on a rotating schedule
- Main shift Tues – Fri 0630 – 1600, Sat. 0530 – 1500 contingent on workload and volume
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
