Job Summary
Oversee pharmacy operations by compounding and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines while maintaining daily production, quality, and service levels. Provide quality assurance to pharmacy technicians, interpret prescriptions, and verify controlled substances by contacting physicians or patients to expedite orders. Collaborate with prescribers to convert prescriptions to generic drugs, manage transfer authorizations, and consult on drug interactions. Train less experienced pharmacists and back up staff as needed during peak volume shifts from Sunday through Thursday. Requires a Pharm.D. degree, current Florida resident license, and ability to stand for extended periods onsite at the Orlando location.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree
- Current resident pharmacist license in good standing
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times
- Internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload (for occasional or permanent home work)
