Job Summary
Plan and purchase inventory from contract manufacturers while developing deployment strategies based on current demand and production plans. Create, change, and complete purchase orders within SAP, communicating plans with manufacturers and managing potential inventory shortage reports. Maintain the distribution center inbound schedule database and plant outbound shipment load plan, maximizing freight utilization and managing dc to dc transfers. Track and develop improvement plans to reduce unplanned shortages and analyze inventory to minimize spoilage. Work a hybrid schedule at headquarters in Buffalo, NY, with an annual compensation range of $61,676 to $83,444.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
- Must be able to work a hybrid work schedule at our world headquarters in Buffalo, NY
- Strong statistical and spreadsheet analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic financial analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Great multi tasker and works well cross collaboratively
- Superior critical thinking skills
- Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint (Access preferred); advanced proficiency in Excel
- SAP, S4, Blue Yonder or related systems experience
Desired Qualifications
- Logistical planning, supply chain, or related work experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, and customer service
- APICS certification or matriculation towards certification
- Professional certification
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Access preferred)
