Fulfillment Operations Associate (Part time, Johannesburg)

Job Summary
Prepare, review, and manage import and export documentation for customs, compliance, and legal purposes while filing and scanning delivery slips into the cloud. Process daily administrative tasks including shipment updates and customer records, and assist with parcelling last-mile shipments from South Africa to customers and other offices. Act as the primary point of contact for customers collecting orders, responding to enquiries via email, phone, and messaging platforms to resolve issues or escalate when needed. Work M-F, 9AM - 1PM (SAST) in a full-time capacity with a focus on maintaining high standards for valuable assets.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in an administrative, logistics, or operations role, ideally involving valuable or high-end stock
- A diamond grading course qualification (or equivalent gemmological grounding)
- A strong logistics background with familiarity in courier services, shipping processes, and tracking systems
- Comfort working in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail, Slides) and Slack in a fast-moving, channel-based team
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling valuable assets and customer information
- The ability to prioritise high-value shipments and tasks with precision in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly, responsible, and proactive attitude – someone keen to learn and grow into new responsibilities
- 100% on site in JHB

Desired Qualifications
- Prior exposure to or experience in diamond or gemstone quality control
- Experience with cloud-based document management systems
- Additional local language skills relevant to the South African market
- A background in luxury retail, high-value logistics, or customs administration
