Job Summary
Fulfillment Center Shipping Manager responsible for all activities related to distribution operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatching construction materials. Oversees order accuracy, coordinates with inbound/inventory teams, ensures safe and compliant workflows, manages staff performance and training, approves timecards, and drives continuous improvement in warehouse processes. Requires proven warehousing/distribution experience and strong communication skills; must be able to lead a team, handle high-volume operations, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. 50-55 hour workweek, Monday–Friday, at a Kansas City, KS facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent); college degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in industrial warehousing/distribution operations
- Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system
- Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook
- Must be able to work 50-55 hours per week
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to supervise and coach staff
- Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) and be recertified
