Job Summary

Read work orders and instructions to guide production tasks. Operate bindery, collating, and printing machinery while monitoring gauges and indicators for proper function. Load, unload, and stack materials into machinery or containers; fabricate, assemble, or disassemble products by hand. Package goods for shipment or storage, apply adhesives, and clean work areas to maintain consistent quality. Inspect products for conformance to specifications and perform safety checks in the manufacturing setting. Troubleshoot operating errors by examining manuals and determining causes of malfunctions. Maintain equipment through routine maintenance and adjust actions to coordinate with supervisors and peers.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
