Job Summary
Fuel company vehicles throughout all weather conditions while operating buses and vans to transport vehicles between parking and on-site fueling locations. Monitor fuel and fluid levels, replenish fluids as needed, and check DOT stickers and vehicle registrations. Maintain records of fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle information using company-issued technology, keeping shop and fueling areas clean. Assist with general fleet support duties, including simple repairs like replacing light bulbs and mirrors, and conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while handling diesel and gasoline. Work outdoors in varying conditions with flexible hours, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid New York State Commercial Driver License (CDL) with any required endorsements to operate buses and vans
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely handle and dispense diesel fuel and regular gasoline
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform work in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- May be required to work flexible hours, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Experience fueling commercial vehicles or fleet equipment
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe fuel handling practices
- Experience maintaining fueling records or inventory
