Job Summary
Fuel Systems Electrician position performing electrical and construction duties related to underground storage tank (UST) compliance testing and repairs, installation/termination of electrical conduit and wiring to fuel system components and emergency generator equipment, and maintenance/testing of underground/aboveground fuel storage tanks. Responsibilities include repairing components (dispensers, pumps, controllers, fuel management systems, tanks and tank hardware, etc.), completing daily logs and progress reports, meeting deadlines, supporting larger repair projects, responding to maintenance calls, and performing regulatory testing (Monitoring Certification, Secondary Containment, Spill Bucket testing, vapor recovery) per state requirements. Requires travel to client sites (up to 100 miles per day) and a commitment to safety and quality. Ideal candidate should have electrical, maintenance and construction experience with growth potential into a Construction Foreman role.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of related experience in commercial electrical construction, installation, and supervision
- Electrical certifications/licenses preferred (Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician certification a plus)
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, including NEC compliance
- Experience with commercial power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
- ICC UST Install/Retrofit, ICC UST Removal, and ICC Service Technician and Veeder Root certifications (preferred)
- HAZWOPER 24 or 40-hour certificate or current 8-hour refresher course
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word) preferred
