Job Summary
Join TAIT as a Petroleum Service Technician building a career from apprenticeship to senior technician. Role involves testing, maintaining, and repairing refueling equipment and ensuring regulatory compliance for UST/AST systems at gas stations, marinas, airports and more. Training provided with ~4 weeks initially in Richardson, TX and 25–50% overnight travel; after training, 50–75% overnight travel with possible multi-week stints during peak seasons. Duties include completing required training (40-hour HAZWOPER), performing tests (spill bucket, vapor recovery, A/B inspections), troubleshooting and repairing UST/AST equipment, submitting reports/timecards digitally, and communicating professionally with clients. Requires the ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and travel as needed; entry-level and experienced techs welcome. Required Qualifications
- Valid/Current ICC UST/AST certification
- Veeder Root Install/Removal certification
- Ability to travel 50-75% overnight after training
- Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)
- Physically able to climb ladders, kneel, lift heavy lids, travel for fieldwork
