Fuel Storage Tank Service Technician

Job Summary
Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER, then perform compliance tests on underground and aboveground storage tank systems. Troubleshoot and repair fuel system equipment at gas stations, marinas, and airports while submitting reports via our digital system. Communicate professionally with clients and represent TAIT across all field operations. Initial training occurs in Richardson, TX, followed by a schedule involving 50–75% overnight travel, sometimes requiring 2–3 weeks at a time during peak seasons. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are mandatory. You must be physically fit to climb ladders, kneel, and lift heavy lids in uneven field conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER
- Valid/Current ICC UST/AST certification
- Veeder Root Install/Removal certification
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Able to climb ladders
- Able to kneel
- Able to lift heavy lids (with assistance)
- Able to work on uneven ground
- Physically fit to travel and work in field conditions
- Complete background check
- Complete drug test
- Complete physical
- 2-4+ years in petroleum, mechanical, or environmental services
- Strong troubleshooting skills with UST/AST systems
- Familiar with industry regulations and reports
- Ready to lead projects or mentor others
- Comfortable traveling
- Working independently
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools
