Job Summary
Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER, and perform compliance tests such as spill bucket and vapor recovery inspections. Troubleshoot and repair fuel system equipment at gas stations, marinas, and airports while submitting reports via our digital system. Communicate professionally with clients and adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations. Entry-level candidates receive training; experienced technicians with valid ICC UST/AST and Veeder Root certifications may lead projects or mentor others. Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and physical fitness for field travel are required.
Required Qualifications
- Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER
- Perform compliance tests (spill bucket, vapor recovery, A/B Inspections, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and repair UST/AST equipment
- Submit reports and timecards using our digital system
- Communicate with clients and represent TAIT professionally
- Work independently and follow all safety protocols
- Comfortable traveling & working independently
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools
- Dependable, detail-oriented and eager to learn
- Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)
- 2-4+ years in petroleum, mechanical, or environmental services
- Valid/Current ICC UST/AST certification and Veeder Root Install/Removal certification
- Strong troubleshooting skills with UST/AST systems
- Familiar with industry regulations and reports
- Ready to lead projects or mentor others
- A proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings or service manuals
- Excellent communication skills when working with clients and teammates
- Complete background check, MVR, drug test, and physical
- Valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Able to climb ladders, kneel, lift heavy lids (with assistance), and work on uneven ground
- Physically fit to travel and work in field conditions
