Job Summary
Fuel Maintenance Manager for the Dallas/Fort Worth market oversees planning and execution of fuel-system maintenance across assigned Buc-ee’s Travel Center locations. Responsibilities include coordinating reactionary and preventative maintenance, overseeing contractors and Buc-ee’s Fuel System Technicians, developing scopes of work, requesting quotes, scheduling repairs, reviewing contractor performance, and approving related invoices within capital expenditure guidelines. The role requires inspecting fuel system equipment for reliability, identifying additional maintenance needs, and collaborating with operations to identify training requirements for store maintenance personnel. The position also involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, evaluating maintenance-tracking data, and researching new fuel-system technologies to improve reliability and customer experience. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technology, business, or math is preferred, with a minimum of five years’ relevant fuel-system maintenance/construction experience; proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; and knowledge of Veeder Root gauges and related equipment. It is an on-site role at the assigned Buc-ee’s Travel Center in the DFW area; no remote work is available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Minimum of five years of relevant fuel system maintenance or fuel system construction experience in the retail market
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Significant knowledge of fuel dispensers and Veeder Root automatic tank gauges
