Job Summary
Fuel and lubricate heavy equipment in the field, including daily servicing at Lube Islands and large loading equipment. Assist with PM/Lube Services, oil and filter changes, and lube extraction/refilling during repairs. Perform general yard clean-up, assist mechanics, and conduct equipment walk-arounds and safety checks. Ensure compliance with all safety policies, hazard assessments, and risk procedures. Report anticipated repairs immediately to the maintenance team. This physically demanding role involves working in adverse conditions with PPE provided. Candidates must hold a Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement and operate a standard vehicle. ML Northern serves Alberta's oil patch, providing preventative maintenance and fuel services to clients throughout the province.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement
- Must be able to operate a standard vehicle
- Must be a self-starter
- Previous experience in the serviceperson role
- A safety-first attitude
- Attentive and possess strong listening skills
- High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Access to Suncor, Syncrude and Syncrude Aurora & Kearl
- Valid CSO
- Silica Awareness
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness
- OHS Alberta Legislation
- Field Ergonomics
- Must be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Must undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing: Breath Alcohol Test, Urine Drug Test, Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment, Audiometric Testing, Vision Screening
Desired Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with related experience
- Experience operating forklift, bobcat and loader
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP) and Fall Arrest Certification
