Job Summary
Provide customers with assistance on fuel pumps, monitor equipment for malfunctions, and ensure all fueling is performed safely and in compliance with policy. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, addressing spills immediately, and restocking supplies like windshield washer fluid and receipt paper. Escalate complaints professionally and follow all safety regulations regarding hazardous materials and emergency procedures. This role requires working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment. The position is located at the Coarsegold, CA travel center and reports to the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid state-issued Driver's License
- Must pass a background check and drug test (non-cannabis substances)
- Must operate and maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including light lifting
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve conflicts
- Familiarity with the Tribe's Constitution, laws, and culture
- Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Adept at multi-tasking, have unquestionable integrity, with a commitment to accuracy
- Organized with unfailing attention to detail and outstanding project management skills
- High level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels in the Tribe
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
