Job Summary
FTZ & Trade Compliance Specialist supports international trade operations, FTZ compliance, and U.S. Customs processes for a growing manufacturing operation. In-office role based in Manteno, IL. Responsibilities include FTZ admissions, transfers, withdrawals, and consumption entries; maintaining FTZ inventory accuracy; ensuring CBP-compliant recordkeeping and audits; assisting with FTZ reporting and reconciliation; HTS classification and country-of-origin verification; analyzing tariffs and Section 301 exposure; escalating compliance risks; and collaborating with Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance. Requires 2-5 years in import operations & customs compliance and FTZ experience, plus familiarity with U.S. import entry processes, HTS, tariffs, and ERP/SAP platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in import operations & customs compliance
- FTZ experience including admissions, withdrawals, and consumption entries
- Working knowledge of U.S. import entry process along with CBP rules and regulations
- Familiarity with HTS classification and tariff structures
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Proficiency with Excel and document management tools such as SharePoint
- Experience with SAP/ERP or trade compliance systems
- Understanding of CTPAT a plus
