Job Summary
Manage client service teams and operations to ensure quality standards, record integrity, and compliance. Facilitate release and entry summaries while maintaining tariff databases, classifications, and client instructions. Verify documentation for release conditions and ratings, then create customs entries through proper vendor and keyword selection. Prioritize work according to client needs, customs requirements, and Livingston standards. Provide support, guidance, and mentoring to Release Operations members to achieve service levels. Conduct periodic checks for accurate tariff application and perform documented internal audits. Coordinate with clients and carriers to obtain missing information and escalate items for resolution. Assist in compiling performance measurement statistics and participate in team operations to improve productivity.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of related experience
- High School/GED or equivalent
- Associates Degree or post-secondary education
- Working towards/or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) or the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA)
- Successful completion of the CCS examination
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Client Service oriented -- interpersonal skills with internal/external clients and coworkers
- Ability to handle large volumes and meet tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Attention to detail; organization, completeness and accuracy
- Good analytical skills with problem-solving ability
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations within authorized limitations
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to present a professional image
- Knowledge of Word and Excel software
- Personal computer and common business machines/software
