Job Summary
Provide daily supervision and ensure a safe, structured environment for youth in a group home setting during evening hours. Build supportive relationships, assist with routines, meals, activities, and transitions, and support behavioral needs using trauma-informed approaches. Teach life skills, coordinate activities of daily living including hygiene and chores, and manage living and dining areas to maintain a clean, organized environment. Deliver group and individual behavior support and intervention, including physical restraint as necessary, while communicating with staff on client issues. Complete assigned paperwork, attend trainings, and participate in supervision meetings. Work an 8-10 hour shift involving verbal de-escalation and physical intervention, with eligibility for up to $5,000 in bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required
- Must maintain the minimum amounts of liability insurance as required by The Home and/or other regulatory requirements
- Vehicle registration must be current
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications
Desired Qualifications
- Childcare experience in a residential setting with similar population of children preferred
