Job Summary
Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy visits, hospital discharges, and facility outings; assist residents entering and exiting the van, including wheelchair and mobility assistance when needed; maintain a safe, clean, and organized vehicle; complete vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly; keep accurate transportation schedules, mileage logs, and resident documentation; follow all state driving laws, safety protocols, and facility policies; communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers; provide courteous, professional, and compassionate service
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
- CDL preferred but not required, depending on vehicle type
- Previous van driving, transportation, or healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to safely assist elderly or disabled residents
- Flexible availability to meet changing facility transportation needs
- Must pass background screening and drug test
