Job Summary
Direct store operations and sales leadership during Manager on Duty shifts, including front end oversight, cash management, and expense control. Train, coach, and develop associates while ensuring store cleanliness, safety, and SOP adherence. Manage opening and closing procedures, merchandise staging, and stockroom maintenance alongside driving CSAT and sales metrics. Assist with payroll processes and handle all register functions, post voids, and returns. Adhere to Five Below's value-driven culture and standard operating procedures to support store growth and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Must be able to move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
- Must be able to frequently operate cash register
- Must frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
- Must frequently place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Must frequently ascend/descend ladders
- Must frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
- Must frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
