Job Summary
Route Driver operates semi-tractor and trailer to deliver perishable products to customers, complete daily paperwork, and perform customer service at the store level. Responsibilities include on-time reporting, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, electronic device requirements and logging per DOT hours of service, monitoring reefer units, handling load information and ETAs, and complying with safety policies. Must be able to meet physical requirements (lifting 25–100 lbs ranges), possess a CDL and DOT certification, and adhere to drug/testing protocols. Work may involve layovers and variable departure times; strong communication, safety, and customer-relations skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- CDL license
- DOT certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years semi-driving experience required
- Customer service and reefer experience preferred
- Pre-employment physical, drug screen, lift test, and background check required
