Job Summary
Full-time RN/LPN Charge Nurse for Eventide-Fargo. 72 hours per pay period with every third weekend and holiday rotation, 6:00a-6:30p. Provides and assures the highest quality nursing care in alignment with federal/state/local standards and Eventide policies, promoting residents’ rights and individuality. Responsibilities include assessing residents’ health, planning and evaluating care, administering medications, providing direct nursing care, accurate documentation, staff leadership and supervision, coordinating with physicians and other care teams, ensuring adequate staffing, and participating in resident care conferences. May assist with orientation/training of new staff and stay updated on nursing skills through ongoing education.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current North Dakota RN License
- Must be in good standing in all states in which you have ever been licensed as a nurse in the United States.
- Assesses residents' health status and needs through physical assessments, observation and interviews on a continuing basis.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' plans of care.
- Administers medications and treatments and monitors medications and treatments for effectiveness.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents whenever necessary and according to established nursing policies, procedures and standards.
- Provides accurate documentation in the residents’ records according to established resident care policies, procedures and standards.
- Provides information, education and support for residents and their families.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift.
- Communicates the needs of the residents to all the resident care staff of the unit.
- Interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
- Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs and staff meetings.
