Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in the emergency room by triaging patients, assessing symptoms, and determining care priorities. Collaborate with physicians to execute the nursing process, including performing head-to-toe assessments and administering medications, IV therapies, and nebulized treatments. Assist with procedures such as laceration repair, cardiac monitoring, and intubation while recognizing and treating life-threatening conditions. Document all patient interactions, vital signs, and discharge instructions accurately in the medical record. Work 7PM to 3AM on four-day, eight-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Two (2) years of registered nurse and/or emergency room nursing experience
- Current RN license within the state of practice
- CPR/BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic Computer knowledge
