Job Summary
Provide overnight supervision, safety checks, and emotional support for female-identified youth (ages 12-17) in a trauma-informed live-in treatment program. Respond to safety alerts and manage crisis situations with professionalism while completing required documentation and household tasks to maintain a supportive home setting. Promote inclusion, dignity, and empowerment in every interaction within a 24/7 environment in North York, ON. This role offers the chance to directly impact the lives of youth overcoming trauma while working in a supportive, inclusive, and professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in the field (Child & Youth Care or BSW/MSW (Bachelor or Masters of Social Work))
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting youth with complex needs (e.g., trauma, substance use, or mental health challenges)
- Understanding of anti-oppressive and trauma-informed care principles
- Broad record police check (BRC)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Crisis Intervention
- Experience supporting youth with a trauma-informed lens
- Previous experience in live-in treatment, shelter, or residential programs
- Experience working with youth impacted by sexual exploitation, trafficking, or gender-based violence
- Fluency in another language, including sign language
